One Month Left for New Entrepreneurial Support Scheme
As the close date nears for applications for a new entrepreneurial support scheme, local MSP, Gordon Macdonald, is pushing the call to all ambitious talented entrepreneurs looking to start up a business in Scotland to apply to the new programme.
The £4M Royal Society of Edinburgh (RSE) Unlocking Ambition Enterprise Fellowship Programme, backed by the First Minister, will invest in 20 early-stage high-potential entrepreneurs with innovative projects – providing a dedicated mentor for each Fellow as well as access to professional, financial and entrepreneurial networks.
Commenting SNP MSP for Edinburgh Pentlands, Gordon Macdonald, said, “Scotland is rightly proud of our reputation as a nation of innovators, and this is a new and creative opportunity to support our young entrepreneurs, academics and researchers in reaching their potential - and presents the ideal start-up opportunity by supporting promising ideas with the necessary skillsets to build them into successful companies.
“This type of scheme shows the commitment, across the board, to support Scotland in becoming a world-leading entrepreneurial nation. It demonstrates the backing and support available for new ideas in Scotland - and I would encourage anyone from Scotland, the UK and from right across the world to submit ideas which have the potential to be.”
